Above the Wake, Was founded July 14th, 2014. The founder Tom Hart realized that there was no outlet for children with autism to be a part of water-sports.   We have been able to impact over 2500 Individuals since our founding date,  it has been an amazing adventure taking children that were counted out, who were generally spectators and making them participants.   Some of our past students/participants are now volunteering with our organization and they are giving back.  We have added a water-safety component to all of our events.  Children with autism are 160 times more likely to drown than neuro-typical children and those numbers are alarming us and need to come down.
